This Is My Amanah

Amanah means trust. The body is a trust from Allah (SWT).

The short version

  • As a youth I ended up somewhere none of us want our children to end up. For years I did not expect to see twenty-five.
  • Islam saved my life, and everything I have came after that.
  • I won every way a man is told to win, and every one of them felt empty. None of it had Allah in it.
  • Amanah Coach builds your training and food inside your deen, where it belongs. The body is an amanah.

My name is Jordan Moyer. Some of you know me as Saifullah.

I've been a Muslim revert for over thirteen years, alhamdulillah, and I've got about twenty years in health and fitness. There's a long version of how I got from there to here. This is the short one.

01Where I came from

As a youth I ended up in the place none of us want our children to end up.

I lived a hard life and I learned a lot of lessons in those chapters. For years I did not expect to see twenty-five. I wasn't planning a future, because I didn't believe I had one to plan.

That's how bad it got.

02Islam saved my life

I say that plainly because it's plainly true. It saved my life, and everything I built came after.

I was a revert thirteen years ago, but I spent six years before that learning about Islam. And honestly, I think Allah was talking to me long before that. I was raised Catholic mostly, and I remember sitting in the back of the van on the way home from church, being told to pray to Jesus (PBUH), thinking: why would I pray to someone who isn't God?

Why would the Most High need a middle man?

Eventually I found the right people and learned the right things.

Islam saved my life. Everything I have came after that.

And it wasn't just the deen. It was the Ummah. The love I've been shown by my brothers, freely, with nothing wanted back - that's the thing that made me decide to give something back.

03I won, and it was empty

I've coached high performing men for years now. YouTube influencers with hundreds of thousands of people watching them. Entrepreneurs and business owners. Dads and family men. And normal guys just trying to get one percent better every day.

Alhamdulillah, I've had more personal wins and turned more dreams into reality than I can count.

And for a long time, every single one of them felt empty.

I won every way a man is told to win. The money. The physique. The women. The cars. The beach life. Property with my name on it.

I got all of it. And the feeling lasted about a week, every time.

Hit the number in business - flat by Friday. Best shape of my life - looked in the mirror and felt nothing. Every record I broke just moved the line further out. I kept thinking there was something wrong with me.

It took years to work out what it actually was.

None of it had Allah in it.

That's the whole answer. I was chasing high performance with the one thing missing that makes performance mean anything at all.

04Why Amanah Coach exists

Islam isn't the thing you get to after you've won. It is the plan. The way, the truth and the light - and it's already written. A complete blueprint for being a high performing man, handed to us fourteen hundred years ago, and most of us are trying to build our own from scratch.

So that's what I built Amanah Coach on. Your training and your food, built around your prayer, your fasting, your work and your family, and set inside your deen where it belongs.

The body is an amanah. I take that seriously, and I'll expect you to as well.
